The Technology Transfer and Business Development Manual is a project by the University of the Philippines Los Baños Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (UPLB TTBDO) funded by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA). It was written for the purpose of supporting the institutional capacity of UPLB by introducing the concepts and establishing the processes of technology transfer and business incubation in the Philippines. This manual aims to set the standards and serve as the cornerstone of future technology transfer manuals.
The Technology Transfer and Business Development Manual is an in-depth and comprehensive manual for students, teachers, scientists, and laypeople. Our goal is for this manual to serve as a significant starting point for people who are interested in transforming their inventions and research into something bigger. It is our hope that this technology transfer and business development manual will be instrumental in operationalizing our goal of building a collaborative culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in UPLB.
