SHARING: SEARCA Hub for Agriculture and Rural Innovation for the Next Generation

Welcome to SHARING

The SEARCA Hub for Agriculture and Rural Innovation for the Next Generation (SHARING) is a facility that celebrates agriculture with art, science, and technology, providing visitors an interactive museum experience. It was designed to inspire young people and the young at heart to participate in agricultural transformation. Since its launch on 12 August 2022, the SHARING facility has welcomed numerous visitors and hosted ideation sessions, serving as a learning space for agricultural innovation.

Inside SHARING

...you will encounter artwork installations, farm innovation stories, interactive technologies, digital agriculture information, agripreneurship products, and innovation tools.

  • Path of Ancient Inspiration

The Inverted Rice Terraces is an art installation representing the long-standing history of agricultural innovation and the ingenuity of farmers.

  • AgriTimeline of Southeast Asia

The SHARING wall depicts an imagery of the past, present, and future of Agriculture 4.0 in Southeast Asia with images from SEARCA's yearly photo contests held over 15 years.

  • Path to Country Innovations

Wood carvings represent the 11 Southeast Asian countries. Carvings depict the landmarks, traditional attire, flora, fauna, and agricultural products from each country. Scan the QR codes to discover farm innovation stories of agritoursim, circular agriculture, and tech-smart farming.

  • SHARING Tree

The SHARING Tree, inspired by the molave tree on the SEARCA logo, is made from thousands of pieces of engineered bamboo elements, scrap mahogany, wastepaper, and recycled metals. It is a symbol of growth, partnership, and agricultural sustainability.

  • Path to Agricultural Innovations

The Digital Agriculture space offers an educational experience through smart tablets providing information on Agriculture 4.0 concepts such as the Internet of Things and Precision Agriculture.

  • Path to 3D Creations

Explore the Makerspace, try out the 3D pens, and find out how the 3D printing machine works. Assemble the 3D printed pieces to create the model Ronnie Bough Tractor, which has an open-source design targeted for conservation agriculture.

  • Sunrise of Agripreneurship

The Agripreneurship Sunrise cabinet showcases the bright future of innovative products and business ventures related to food, skincare, and farm inputs. This is a dynamic display of agriculture as a sunrise industry.
