The main objective of this undertaking is to formulate the Five-Year roadmap for the Agriculture Education program that is aligned to CHED’s vision, mission, and goals for the next five years, with the following major elements, among others, to wit:
- Overall vision and strategic direction for policy reforms to improve the agriculture program and curriculum in such a way that it is relevant and responsive to the present development needs
- Strategic Plan Framework based on the policy and direction set by the Commission En Banc (CEB) and CHED
- Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation Plan that indicates strategies to effectively track the performance indicators (PIs) and progress of the implementation. In this connection, PIs should be properly defined in the plan.
Specifically, the roadmap to be developed will:
- Set policy directions for higher education consistent with local, regional, and international needs and industry trends
- Serve as guide in the formulation and implementation of enabling policies and development initiatives to meet the demands of industry, community, and scholarship needs for socio-economic development
- Institutionalize the representation of experts from the government, academe, and industry in direction setting and policy making for higher education
- Ensure accountability, transparency, evidence-based decision making in policy formulation and program implementation
